Christian Schenk

Director of Operations & Program Development

Christian Schenk holds a Bachelor’s degree in music from the Berklee College of Music and recently completed his Masters in Business Administration. Before joining the United States Army as an electric bass player, Chris taught piano, guitar, bass, and drum lessons with MEC for over 10 years. Chris continues to support MEC “behind the scenes” and hopes to open a second location in the Watertown/Fort Drum area in the coming months.

Sarah Jamison

Music Teacher / Director of Marketing & Student Accounts

Sarah Jamison holds degrees in Music Education from the Crane School of Music (SUNY Potsdam) and Roberts Wesleyan College. Sarah has been an active music teacher in the Rochester area since 2008, having taught instrumental music as a long-term substitute in the Brighton, Honeoye Falls-Lima, and Rochester City School Districts. She also previously worked as a woodwind specialist with the Webster HS Marching Band. Sarah has taught piano, woodwind, and percussion lessons for MEC since 2010.

Sean Conlon

Music Teacher / Recital Coordinator

Sean Conlon holds a Bachelor’s degree in Music Education from the Crane School of Music at SUNY Potsdam with a concentration in tuba. Sean is an active bass player in the Rochester area, performing regularly with The Uptown Groove and Silver Arrow Band. Sean has taught piano, guitar, bass, drum, voice, and brass lessons for MEC since 2009.

Amanda Montone

Music Teacher / Music Therapist

Amanda Montone holds a Bachelor’s degree in Vocal Performance from Houghton College and a Master’s degree in Music Therapy from Nazareth College. Before joining our teaching staff, Amanda worked as a music therapist at the Hochstein School of Music & Dance. Amanda has taught voice, piano, guitar, violin, and musical enrichment for MEC since 2015.

Joshua Rodriguez

Music Teacher

Joshua Rodriguez has a Bachelor’s degree in Music from SUNY Empire State College, over 30 years of experience as a church musician/teacher, and over 15 years of experience as a direct support professional with Heritage Christian Services. He is also a veteran of the United States Navy and a member of the American Guild of Organists. Josh joined the MEC teaching staff in September 2017 and is currently accepting new students on piano, guitar, bass, and drums.
